MY 2011 HERO OF THE YEAR
Dear friends,
As you may know, I always choose a friend of the day. Also, I am strong in showing my admiration and support for pro-women lives, women and men alike, who heroically contribute to the health and happiness of women all over the world. Well, before we break the new year, I would like to announce my women's rights activist-hero and Friend of the Year: Julie Cox. After undergoing so many misfortunes, after suffering for so many years, she was determined to live unbroken, to keep her heart open, and to keep on moving forward. Not only did she become a successful businesswoman and philanthropist in both her homes, the United States and the Philippines, she decided to write a poetic memoir of how she did it, titled I Ordered My Future Yesterday, thereby sharing her story with many more women and men so that they would do the same with their lives!
I would like to invite you to think for a second this year: how many Julies do you think we have today? How many Julies do we have in the third world, even in the first world? How many Julies are children today, feeling helpless after experiencing rape? What can we do today to inspire those women to never, ever lose sight f the tremendous beauty and power they hold within, no matter what vicious people may have done to them? Even if we do a simple act like this short message I left you all to reach out, to motivate you to buy Julie's book, to feel her story, to feel the young Julies we have today, to see what you can do to help?! In the spirit of Julie's dedication and good work, I urge you all to open your heart, to never give up on yourselves no matter how much viciousness you have encountered in your life, and to never EVER give up on our young sisters ALL OVER the world! All my love and congrats to you Julie and to your male life partner. I hope that you and all of my friends here have a healthy, loving, compassionate and transformative new year!! Please visit Julie's inspiring site at http://www.iorderedmyfutureyesterday.com/. Also please look up Julie's book on Amazon.com. It is very accessible: it sells for less than $11! Again, her inspiring book's title is I Ordered My Future Yesterday ♥

"I Ordered My Future Yesterday"--Fifteen Keys To Life

The Fifteen Keys to Life
1) Believe in God. Everything happens for a reason. What sometimes breaks us makes us stronger, and in the end your strength will be unbreakable under any circumstances.
2) You can rise above your trials and tribulations. Youwill find your strength. The light of a brighter future can be seen through even the smallest hole.
3) Believe in yourself so others may also believe in you, and of course so they might begin to believe in themselves.
4) Dare to dream! Your dreams are your shining stars. Ifyou believe, your star will guide you which way to go. Dreams are your future discovered, so always act on your dreams.
5) Love your parents, and be grateful under any circumstances for all they have done for you. They gave you life, and you are here for a reason—maybe even a divine reason.
6) Have a sense of responsibility for yourself and society. Be not a burden but a proud, patriotic citizen of your country.
7) Be an instrument of change for the benefit of yourselfand others. If you help yourself and become successful, then you can help others with your generosity.
8) Promote peace, love, and charity. God will measure your good works one day.
9) Promote the love of nature and the environment. Your future children and the children of your children will remember and benefit from your sensibilities.
10) Prosperity is not only material wealth. Generosity of kindness and compassion to others also enrich our souls.
11) Give until it hurts. You will be rewarded to the same measure as you give.
12) Make sacrifices for the good of others and not forself-interest and/or glorification.
13) Be a bridge over troubled waters. Lend a hand to someone having difficult times.
14) The sun always shines the brightest after heavy storm. Whatever you think is your worst problem, somebodyelse has it worse than you do. You will always see the light is brighter after going through the darkness.
15) Heaven metaphorically can be a parallel realm on earth just as well. You can find it when you find the ways needed to make other people happy. Heaven can thus be found in people’s smiles of gratitude aimed back at your simple kindness shown toward them.
